Saklikent is translated as hidden paradise and it deserve this name. It was discovered by a shepherd many years ago. Until the time of discovery nobody realized how mysterious and beautiful the deep canyon was. Saklikent is a 15km canyon and one of the longest in the world. Walking in the fresh invigorating water of the canyon is really fun.And we bet you won’t able to walk in the cold water for a minute. The smell of nature and trekking in the canyon will give you a good appetite. 

After a good restaurant lunch you will be taken to one of the most important and atmospheric cities of Lycian Federation. Tlos is one of the largest settlements of Lycians who settled in the area between Caria and Pamphylia. At the ruins you will see the relics of Lycian and Roman times. The talented craftsmen of this ancient city created amazing works of arts. The amphitheatre and the Roman bath, the market place, the sarcophaguses of the king's three sons and various rock cut tombs and not least the burial place of the common people on the steep cliff face of the settlement.

This is a daily tour to Saklikent Gorge, Tlos ancient city .Tour starts with the pick up from your resort / hotel and drive to Saklikent Gorge which is 50 km away from Fethiye. Tour Program During the day, we will visit the ruins of Tlos city which was an Lycian city and the settlement here is 4000 years old. The city is ruined but historian and archaeologist says that the city was one of the most important religious city of Lycia. The settlement of the city is on the hills and its believed in the mythology that Bellerophon lived in Tlos with his flying horse Pegasus and he has a king type tomb in the necropolis dedicated by citizens of Lycia. Ice cold fresh mountain water, long gorge and history. All in one nature and history day out. After the mystic air of Tlos, we will go to a trout farm in Yaka village, a hand made heaven with full of water gardens and traditional restaurants. Lunch of fresh trout (or chicken) and a large selection of salads and mezzes will be waiting us here. And the famous gorge! Saklikent! Saklikent gorge is the second longest gorge in Europe. We have to warn you before you get into the water! Its icy cold! You can jump into the water and explore the canyon by yourself or a private guide or if its too cold for you just relax and enjoy the moment on the riverside cafes with a nice hot tea or coffee. Ok! A cold beer will be good too! After the long day, our coach will drive us back to Sarigerme.
